The Horizontal Top is inspired by the simplicity of kimonos and their waste-less construction from tanmono, bolts of narrow width. A lightweight cotton and linen fabric used for summer kimonos, each fabric is custom dyed by Kyoto-based artisan Takeshi Nakajima. Each one-of-a-kind top carries a piece of Japan's artistic legacy and will have variations due to the hand-painted nature. Wear the funnel neck collar tall for a dramatic look, or unbuttoned and folded over for a more relaxed look. 

Made between New York City and Kyoto. As each order is made-to-order and custom-dyed, please allow 4 - 6 weeks for this order.
