At Atelier Perséphone, we are particularly loving of art and artistic activities. Although we do think that art should be accessible to everyone, and we do not value one art above another (even if we have our preferences, of course!), it is sometimes difficult to access it. Sistine Madonna (Raphael)
Surrounded by Saints and angelic figures, the Virgin and Child named « Sistine Madonna » is a famous painting by Raphael, painted between 1513 and 1514. It was commissioned by Benedictine monks and was the last Madonna to be painted by this artist. This is a crucial work of religious painting and, although we often see more cherubs depicted in today's culture, the Atelier Persephone finds this representation of the Virgin absolutely magnificent.
Whether you are a believer or not, one cannot disavow the beauty of this painting, which can now, in pine enamel, be worn everywhere!
