There are three sterling silver posts on the back of it which after inserted can easily be bent over so that it lays flat and tight. You wont be able to feel it on the inside of the hat with the pins bent over flat. The horns are slightly curved inward to conform with the shape of the hat. This pin will show up beautifully on the hat and is a great gift for anyone that loves Longhorns. I make this pin in my shop myself and it is my own original design.
